Silent Hill (Paint it black)

Well, here am I, writing about this creepy, yet amazing piece of art.

"Paint it black" is a comic by Scott Ciencin in colaboration with Shawn Thomas (ISW & Koonami) who has done this kind of work for the videogame saga of Silent Hill for a while. The comic itself is a masterpiece out of every imaginable standard. The story talks about Ike, an artist who gets trapped by the beauty within the mist in Silent Hill, living in peace until a bus filled with cheerleaders comes by to perturb the simbyosis.

Somehow, the story becomes a portrait of our society, a society where there's no much place left for thoose who are not willing to go fast-foward. It gives you the sensation of being trapped by the ally, so confusing and so clear...

The storyline is one thing. But the drawings are the drawings, and they are the main reason to admire the whole work; the technique is insane and so is the experience that you get when you mix it all. Excluding all the hailing, it was just natural for me to do something with all the ideas that entred my brain after reading it over and over, and so i took my guitar and recorded, re-recorded and overdigitalized the sound to get a piece inspired by the comic.

The result? This down here.
